~My “Black Friday” Shopping~

I did some Thanksgiving day and Black Friday shopping , Mostly Thanksgiving Day, I didn't\’t want anything worth standing in line in the cold. Im glad I convinced myself NOT to go to Target at midnight last night because everything I wanted was still available today!  Thanksgiving I woke up at 5am and headed to Meijer. Did I have to get there that early ? They opened at 6am and I pulled into the parking lot at 6:06 am the lot was packed! No but I couldn’t sleep so thought I might as well.

Here is what  I picked up at Meijer. For my family reading this , I kept all receipts and am willing to take stuff back if I have too.

388

Lucky Charms and Honey Nut Cheerios were on sale for $.99 each limit of four and I had a coupon for $1.50 off four.  The lucky charms were gone within ten minutes , I was on the ground searching under skids of honey nut cheerios for these three boxes Smile

389

Fisher Price and Dora toys were buy two get one free. I got these for about $20 for all three.

390

This was our Thanksgiving Breakfast On sale for $1.00 each and I had $.55 coupons that doubled.=FREE

I also got two $15 Itunes cards for $24

After Meijer I headed to CVS. I ended up sitting outside for an hour because I didn’t know they were open …..that’s a whole other story.  I was the only person in the store and the cashier looked like she was scrambling to get tags and stuff up. NOTHING was marked as being on sale and I couldn’t find an ad so after walking around for awhile I had to ask her and she did not seem to thrilled with being there. They had everything on my list, which really surprised me! This was my first black friday shopping at CVS and I was well prepared to figure out a new plan if they were out of something. I had two gift cards to use from previous deals and offers online. Here is what I picked up Smile

The toys were all  $9.99 buy one get one free. the Scott was $3.99 with in ad coupon and I had a $2.00 coupon to stack with that.

A local Grocery store also had a big sale today and this weekend. Our favorite Skyline was on sale for $1.50 (regularly $3 something) so I had to go see what I could find PLUS we had a $25 American Express Gift Card that we got as a giveaway for Small Business Saturday and since this is a small family owned store we totally took advantage and helped our local community.

400

We got (7) Skyline Chili (2) Red Baron Pizzas and a 12pk Bud light. This normally would have cost us almost $40 but after using the gift card we only paid $4 AND I have a rebate for $6.50 back when you buy two red baron and one 12pk Bud Light.

I also hit Target this morning and got EVERYTHING on my list but I didn’t take a picture Sad smile I was afraid Lily would see so I had to hurry . I got a cabbage patch doll, dvd player and three cat in hat movies and a memory game for $45  I was super excited about that, I was sure everything would be gone by time I decided I wanted to go.

Did anyone else go out?

~Where have I been?!?!~

Oh my October was such a busy month for our family! With birthdays ,anniversaries, parties, and holidays there was no time to breathe. I'm sorry I have been gone so long Sad smile I was actually thinking about putting an end to my blogging life, but then I thought about it… I enjoy having readers and I love helping others out . I started this blog mainly for myself and my family to keep track of my shopping trips so I will continue and maybe eventually I will have more time freed up so I can build this site up to what I envision. I hope you stick by meSmile
